Maillon Oval Connector – versatile connector that keeps the load centralized, it is widely used in anchoring and connecting equipment such as edge protection modules (edge protectors). They are closed with a threaded lock (requires key-assisted closure) forming a stable link in a safety chain. Type of connector without “trigger finger”, used in belt connections and widely used in installations of Rope Access maneuvers, industrial climbing, caving and climbing. In this last modality, it is especially indicated to leave in an intermediate projection as a resource to lower to the ground without leaving a carabiner, or when holding meetings with chains.
